Skyblock Patch 1.1 Notes - Mid-Beta Patches
Patch Notes:
Its the networks first patch notes! An exciting moment to go over the progress we've made. For reference this update took about 3 days of work, so we look forward to continue to create quality content and updates consistently.
Where to begin? If I had more time these notes would be much more in depth with gifs and screenshots but its late and I need to go to bed :D
Adjustments -
- Daily Quests have received a complete overhaul! We've centered the quests around what is possible in Skyblock, and changed the difficulty to make the hard quests actually hard. But don't worry, we've overhauled the rewards to match this. While the per quest rewards may not seem worth it, if you complete all 8 quests the extra reward given makes all your hard work worth it.
- IS Generator Costs and Values have been adjusted to allow for higher level generators to still be able to complete island missions and get the lower tier ores.
- Fish prices and Fishing Contests both got some love, with the price of special fish caught during contests being increased DRASTICALLY. As well as the rewards given to the top 3 winners during the fishing contest now have a purpose for those precious shiny blue pearls. Fishing competitions also now require 4 players online to begin.
- Chat reminders previously linked to mercy.com, they've been changed to reflect our actual website now! (the one you're on)
- Spawner Fragments are completely useless now. We do intend to incorporate them back into the gameplay in the future, but at the moment they are dupeable, and dont seem to fit in with real purpose anywhere. We've removed their drop chance and changed their lore to reflect their uselessness.
- Is fly has been adjusted to reflect its original intent. At the moment the default rank is allowed to use /is fly, and it only turns on fly for them. This was not intended as I had a different understanding of how the command /is fly worked that was false. It was supposed to be a command for only legend rank players that allowed all of their island members to fly within their island. So we've removed the default ability to do /is fly, and coded a custom addon for superior skyblock that allows people with the legend rank to do /is flyall which works as we had intended above. If you have Hero rank, you can still do /fly to allow only yourself to fly.
- Auto Restart plugin has been changed, its now a much more simple and clean auto restart. All restarts should happen at 2 A.M. EST.
- 3 Hour Playtime Reward originally gave a spawner fragment, but since they are now useless we've replaced it with 16 Golden Ingots.
- TAB has been updated to say discord.gg/mercypvp instead of discord.mercypvp.com for clarity and accessibility reasons.
Removals -
- The Blacksmith trades for spawners and Hyronic flying boots, have been removed. We may re-add Flying boots if we feel is necessary.
NEW Additions-
- Auto Backups have been setup, so fear no more of data loss as the server automatically backs up to google drive every night.
- 5 Custom Bosses have been added and these include:
- Echolurker, the Abyssal Warden
Drops Echo Shards, Netherite Blocks, and Diamond Blocks
- Infernal Swine, the Molten Marauder
Drops Piglin Coins, Netherite Blocks, and Diamond Blocks
- Stellargeist, the Cosmic Witherlord
Drops Nether Stars, Netherite Blocks, and Diamond Blocks, and a small chance for his crown and sword.
- Goldglop, the Gilded Monarch
Drops Hyronium Ingots, Alot of Netherite Blocks, and Diamond Blocks
- Frostbone, the Glacial Overlord
Drops Ice Stars, Netherite Blocks, and Diamond Blocks
- A Boss Shop has been added at spawm or through /BossShop where you can trade items for these boss spawn eggs. More trades will be coming soon for these bosses.
- Crates now boast these new boss spawn eggs in our vote, knight, and kings crates. They also no longer have flying boots to reflect their removal.
- Fishy the NPC now trades valuable for those Shiny Blue Pearls won in fishing competitions.
- Playtime Leaderboard has been re-added, playtime will now be counted forward and on towards this leaderboard.
- An [item] brag plugin has been added for certain ranks to boast their goodies in chat.
- A Help NPC has been added at spawn to help new players get a start, plug our socials, discord, and store, as well as show them the basics of the server.
